Admitted on fee-paying basis

The following application documents should be sent till 31.05. to Ms Agnieszka Sutherland (agnieszka.sutherland@put.poznan.pl) - the person in charge of PhD programmes in the university LLL&International Education Office (DEUiM):

  • 1. Master diploma – a photocopy – diploma of completing 2-cycle studies. NOTE! The diploma certificate should be legalized and translated by a sworn translator into English or Polish.
  • 2. Transcript of Records for M.Sc. studies (supplement) containing courses taken and passed by the candidate during the studies, in particular including lectures, auditorium classes, laboratory classes, seminar classes and project classes together with obtained grades.
  • 3. Motivation letter, stating why you have chosen the faculty concerned at PUT, and describing the particular area of scientific interest within the chosen field.
  • 4. Proof of English knowledge at level B2. If your previous education was conducted in English the document will be recognized as proof of language proficiency. It is also possible:
    • to present an official certification e.g.: TOEFL, IELTS exam or,
    • enrol in a one- semester language course at PUT.
  • 5. Photocopy of a valid passport.
  • 6. CV.
  • 7. Declaration of a proposed research supervisor (“doktor habilitowany” or “professor”), chosen from the faculty academic staff – if possible.

Recruiment procedure:

  • 1. It is highly recommended for the candidates to contact selected academic teachers (with de-gree of “doktor habilitowany” or with title of “professor”) during the application procedure, and to choose the supervisor prior to final admission.
  • 2. It is possible to require additional documents, e.g. electronic version of the MSc thesis, from the candidate.
  • 3. DEUiM informs the qualified candidates about admission, and sends them the Acceptance Letter, signed by the PUT Prorector.
  • 4. After the tuition fee for the 1st semester is paid, the candidate obtains the Final Acceptance Letter, which enables them to apply for the Polish visa.
  • 5. DEUiM monitors the whole admission procedure, and books accommodation in the stu-dent’s house.
